Let the transformation begin!

Powerful economic forces have pushed farming to become an extractive industry rather than one of nature stewardship. Heavy grazing by sheep and cows over the years has taken a collective toll on the landscape over the decades. What was once a diverse tapestry of complexity and variety has become one of conformity, thinning soils, reducing water storage capacity and a dire lack of habitat for the once teaming wildlife. These pictures from 2020 show the start of a story of regeneration and dedication to restore diversity to the landscape. the project is called Meadows of hope, and we hope we can inspire learn from and involve a global community of those who would like to join us on this journey.
